Institutions habilitated to deliver the doctorate
In agreement with University of Rennes 1, six other institutions may deliver the diploma of doctorate in the field of the doctoral school MATISSE. The seven institutions are:

The doctoral school Matisse gathers the doctoral students (PhD students) preparing a doctorate in the following fields: Mathematics & Applied Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Computer automation, Robotics, Signal processing & Images processing, Electronics & Microelectronics, Optoelectronics & Microwaves in one of the seven habilitated institutions.
In agreement with the law text "arrêté du 7 août 2006 relatif à la formation doctorale" the doctoral school Matisse has the following missions. The doctoral school organizes the studies for doctors and prepares them to the professional insertion. The doctoral school dispenses a multidisciplinary culture in the field of a coherent scientific project. The doctoral scholl contributes to the international visibility of doctors and attached laboratories.

The secretary of the doctoral school MATISSE is located on the "Campus de Beaulieu" of the University of Rennes 1, in the Doctoral study space named "'Espace Doctoral" in the building 1 as mentioned on the following map. The scholarship for PhD students registered at University of Rennes 1 is localized in the same building, at the same floor.
